Social Engineering – The Risks and what it costs

When technology and products are not enough to combat the threat, how can the cybersecurity community holistically approach the risks to protect our networks, information and users. Cyber threats and cyber losses, collectively cyber risks, have increased greatly over the last several years. Cyber risks, introduced through various social media platforms, not only expose organizations to liability and unintended costs, but also exposes PII, PHI and proprietary/protected information to criminal/malicious organizations. This presentation will highlight the risks, costs and mitigation efforts needed within an information-centric environment to harden the perimeter and lessen the impact to compromise.
