The (ISC)² U.S. Military Germany Chapter was established on 3 September 2013, in Wiesbaden, Germany. Membership is open to all military personnel, government civilians, contractors, as well as any non-military IT security practitioners who would like to participate. The chapter serves the needs of (ISC)² credentialed professionals stationed overseas with the U.S. Military. The chapter also provides all information security professionals an opportunity to connect with other members of the local military community to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and earn CPEs. Our focus is to spread awareness of the chapter and to increase membership by offering the following benefits:
Our members represent a broad cross section of government, military, and industry security professionals. The increased focus on security within both Industry and the Department of Defense is driving the need for more personnel to seek out formal security credentials such as the CISSP® – Certified Information Systems Security Professional. The U.S. Military Germany Chapter is a forum for collaboration within the community, as well as a pathway to resources, advice and expertise for those seeking to hone existing skills or obtain advanced certifications through (ISC)².
